Mr Moonlight

Welcome to my page!

First and foremost let me personally thank you for visiting the site and listening to BeatlesRadio.com

I'm the on-air reporter that brings Beatles news to our listeners at the bottom of each hour here at the station.   It's amazing how many newsworthy stories are out there on the Fab Four, both as a group, and their solo careers.  I have the freedom to pick which stories to report on and try to update the news at least 3 to 4 times a week.  I also add the links on the home page to each story source and select a photo to go with the news article.  My goal is to provide a diverse selection of current news selected from providers the world over.

Truth be told, I got this assignment quite by accident-I was listening to the station 2 years ago and heard Dr. Robert's spot asking for a volunteer to read the news on-air...I thought, why not? And the rest, as they say, is history!

Personal Info:

If you've heard me on the air it's obvious to most people that I'm originally from New York.  No getting around that, but in a way I'm glad I never lost my accent, it's something I'm proud of.  I was born in Queens and grew up on Long Island. I left New York in 1983 and have missed it ever since.  I'm in that special fraternity of Beatles fans that sat wide-eyed in front of the TV and watched the lads for the first time on the Ed Sullivan show.  An unforgettable moment in time.

Growing up in New York I always had a special interest in radio and carried my little transistor wherever I went.  Back then you had 3 competing AM stations, WABC, and WMCA as well as 1010 WINS, man those were the days.  Murray the K, Cousin Brucie and B. Mitchell Reed -  icons one and all.  I often fanatsized about becoming a DJ but that's as far as it went.  Uncle Sam called - I went into the Army as a draftee and got out in one piece, lucky I guess...

My area of experience in voice work has been as a Public Address Announcer.  I got into it rather late in life having started working as a PA Announcer at age 42.  I worked my way up to Division 1 College Football and Baseball in South Florida.  I've also worked for The Radio Reading Service-an organization that provides special radio service to the blind and visually impaired.  I was able to read the sports on Sunday to subscribers in SouthWest Florida during the late 1980's.  Each year we had a dinner to recognize our listeners and I was able to personally meet the people I was reading to, as well as getting introduced to their service dogs, that was great!

I love The Beatles but when I listen to music it's usually mainstream jazz.  My favorite Beatle? John, of course!

My wife and I will celebrate 35 years of marraige this year and we have 2 children, my daughter is a teacher, and my son is in the pharmaceutical field.

We were blessed recently with our first grandchild LUCAS-  now 2+ years old!
